We’re Doin’ It Again! 6th Annual Liga MAC JazzFest
Liga MAC.’s major annual fundraiser, JazzFest, is just around the corner. This year’s headliner, New York Jazz All Stars, featuring Julio Fernandez of Spyro Gyra, represents the best of today’s jazz. Individually, the group’s members have performed with such artists as Billy Joel, George Benson, Lenny Kravitz, Curtis Mayfield, Tito Puente to name a few. They will be performing at both the VIP Private Event on Friday, March 19, held for the Legend Table and ticket purchasers, and the JazzFest Sunday event on March 21st from 2pm -8pm. JazzFest will be one hour longer this year to accommodate a full lineup including: Jazzid traveling from Mexico City, returning favorites Los Trillizos and The Diego Ramirez Trio featuring Barry Ivan White this year, Paul Clade and his group Speaking in Tones, and for the Jazz purists, we have the Ingrid Jensen Quartet.
And you don’t have to dine on jazz alone. A generous buffet and no-host bar are included in the price of admission. What would a fundraiser be without an auction? There will be both the ever popular silent auction with over a 100 items to choose from and the always exciting live auction. (No hints but there will be a couple of original items you won’t want to miss!!).
One of the most spectacular aspects of JazzFest is becoming more accessible this year. The VIP Private event featuring a gourmet meal catered by Edith’s and music by the New York Jazz All Stars will be held at the Campestre Beach Club, in San Jose. For the first time tickets for this event, which also include preferred seating and parking at the Sunday JazzFest event, will be sold individually as well as by the table.
